Sacred Geometry in Brand Design – Talking Plants Garden Club Logo
Today I would like to talk about using Sacred Geometry and symbolism in logo design. Sacred geometry is a way to tap into the underlying matrix of life, which I believe gives these creations power.
The Logo i would like to talk about today was created for the Talking Plants Garden Club. My intention was to make this logo as high vibrational as possible, aid with manifestation and express perfectly the essence of who it is meant for, which is a gardener and farmer working WITH nature instead of AGAINST it. The Talking Plants Garden Club is teaching what his owner has learned in over 4 decades of growing the most amazing gardens, or rather call them backyard sanctuaries for plants, insects, birds and more.
Using a flower for the icon was an obvious choice here, and even though it seems like a simple design, it is full of symbolism, and fonts and colors are used strategically to fully express the intentions the owner had in mind with his business idea.
Underlying this icon and my starting point is the seed of life – These are the 7 innermost circles of the flower of life. So symbolically, the energy of the heart is at the center of this icon. Expressing that energy are also the colors. Green is the color of nature but also of the heart, pink symbolizes love.
The center of the icon, the flower petals, encode the male and female principles. The triangle that points up symbolizes male, the down triangle female. Instead of having one laying on top of the other – which would make one more important than the other – both are intertwined to create balance.
The number 3 is used for each set of petals, which together creates 6. The circle encompassing the flower petals also has 6 smaller circles.
Surrounding it all, the biggest circle of them combines 9 smaller ones, which gets us to the number sequence 3 – 6 – 9. These numbers – 3, 6 and 9 – have been called divine numbers, or numbers of manifestation, and are a powerful sequence for creation.
This is the symbol I designed, and the business name added around it completes the logo.
